Dr. Tom Blair, has been Director of ESA since 1977 and is currently Chair of Foreign languages and French faculty member at City College of San Francisco. The French government recently recognized Dr. Blair's contributions to French education by awarding him the prestigious Palmes Académiques.
Dr. Yolanda Patterson, professor of French at California State University-Hayward, is Professor emerita of French and Women's Studies, as well as President of the Simone de Beauvoir Society. Much of her scholarship has been devoted to Simone de Beauvoir.
Dr. Dominique Van Hooff, Chair of Foreign Languages Department at San Jose State University. Dr. Van Hooff has research interests in the relationship between painting and modern French literature.
Prof. Vincent Morissette, Faculty Member at Fairfield University and Sacred Heart University (Connecticut). Professor Morissette is a recipient of the California Language Teachers' Association Outstanding Teacher Award.
Dr. Terri Nelson, Professor of French at California State University, San Bernardino, she has received several teaching awards.
Prof. Rebecca Ebin has taught at West Los Angeles College, El Camino College and several private schools before coming to East Los Angeles College. She has led the East LA College program to Paris for three years.
Dr. Lynne Vogel-Zuiderweg, a full-time faculty member in French and Spanish at East Los Angeles College, has also taught at Santa Monica College and at the California Academy of Mathematics.
Professor Philippe Kreiter teaches French and Spanish at Central Catholic High School in Portland, Oregon, where he also moderates the Latino Student Union.
Language instruction is also provided by the faculty of the Institut Catholique.
